Emircan Pehlivan (*1999, Samsun / Turkey) He did not graduate from any music school and learned technical information on the subjects involving musical craft from Ozkan Manav, Emre Dundar and Mithatcan Ocal, who helped him voluntarily, independently of the academy.

His works have been performed by ensembles and orchestras such as Ensemble Modern, International Ensemble Modern Academie, Klangforum Wien, Collegium Novum Zurich, Beijing Contemporary Soloists, Appassionato Ensemble, Karlowicz Philharmonic, Lucerne Festival Orchestra and Bilkent Symphony Orchestra in many festivals and concerts such as Wittener Tage fur neue Kammermusik (Witten), ICCS young talents (Frankfurt), Lucerne Festival (Lucerne) Avangarden Liedberg Festival (Cologne), Muziek Biennale Niederrhein (Cologne), Como Contemporary Festival (Como)

His music has received various awards from competitions and organizations in different countries such as International Mieczysław Karłowicz Composers' Competition (Poland), EHTE Composition Competition (Spain), 12th Pre-Art Composition Competition (Switzerland) ,18th Sun River Prize (Chengdu-China), 4th International Composer Competition “New Music Generation” (Kazakhstan), 14th Festival International de Musiques Sacres (Switzerland), 5th International Composition Competition “Appassionato Ensemble” (Italy), Frost Composition Award (USA) and others.

He continues his life as a freelance composer in Istanbul.
